The National Academy of Television Arts & Science has announced its nominees for the 2021 Daytime Emmy Awards. While last year’s ceremony was a virtual one, this year it’s set to air on CBS on June 25th. Here’s what you need to know.

General Hospital is in the running for the most awards as the hit ABC soap has 21 nods. The Young and the Restless (CBS) and Days of Our Lives (NBC) both have 11 nods each while The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS) landed just nine.

As many fans know, the nominees are selected by industry expert panels. The winners have already been selected but will remain a secret, as they often are the ones who collect the highest score during the nomination process. In addition to the soap nods, Jeopardy! Host Alex Trebek earned a posthumous nomination for Outstanding Game Show Host. The awards ceremony will also stream on Paramount Plus this year.
