The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that someone might just take out Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and the main person of interest will be Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)! That will put Detective Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) in a very tight spot, having to arrest Nick while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) his wife is defending her ex’s innocence in future episodes of The Young and The Restless!
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Put Himself In A Position To Be A Number One Suspect
Viewers of The Young and The Restless will remember that Nick put himself in a position to be a number one suspect in a murder of Locke, when he publicly said if his sister Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) stayed with him, he’d take him out himself! Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless know that Nick, the only full sibling of Victoria, has always looked out for his sister and until the disagreement over the Locke Ness Monster, they’ve always been close.
That is one reason why Nick is upset and feeling rejection from Victoria over the whole phony romance on Locke’s part, and why he felt compelled to go to Locke’s old stomping grounds and check out his background himself! Nick was among the first to smell a rat, along with Victoria’s ex-husband Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was fooled; needless to say, Victor is no longer fooled and is not at all happy being Locke’s fool! But since Nick made a statement in public at Crimson Lights, he’ll be the person of interest if Locke is found dead!
Y&R Spoilers – There Could Be Several Suspects But Nick Newman Will Be Focused In On
Longtime viewers of The Young and The Restless know that Rey could just as likely focus in on longtime romantic rival Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as a suspect – but since Nick threatened Locke in public, he’s an easy suspect! For that matter, Victor, Nikki Newman, (Melody Thomas Scott) or even Victoria herself could have means, motive and opportunity to target the Locke Ness Monster for revenge or protection; all three of them have been suspects in murders before over the years. Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) could have a motive as well, since Locke threatened him with revocation of his medical license and making sure he’d never work anywhere in the medical field again! But as viewers of The Young and The Restless may have noticed, Sharon and Nick have been getting closer again since their son Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) moved back to Genoa City, and that makes Rey feel even more like an outsider!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Rey Rosales May Target Nick Newman As A Murder Suspect To Remove His Influence On His Wife
Viewers of The Young and The Restless can believe, given Rey’s problems with distrust of Sharon and his jealousy in the past, that he could be getting jealous of Nick and Sharon’s seeming focus on him as of late. Viewers of The Young and The Restless will also remember that Sharon defended Adam when he was framed for Rey’s poisoning, but then Rey was too ill to notice at the time. Rey could be upset if Sharon tells him he’s on the wrong track if Nick is the obvious suspect in Locke’s murder, but with Rey’s jealousies and insecurities popping up again, he may just target Nick as a suspect to remove his influence on Sharon! In all honesty, if it comes up there is a murder mystery involving Locke and Nick is one of many suspects, perhaps Rey should recuse himself and let another detective handle the case-he’s too close!

I am delighted to hear we could be seeing a murder mystery story, especially with Nick and Sharon who could use a good frontline story. If this finally reunites Nick and Sharon I hope its for good this time.
