General Hospital News: Bad News For Bryan Craig And Grand Hotel Fans

Grand HotelUh-oh! This doesn’t sound promising at all. There’s a new report that says the ABC prime-time television show Grand Hotel slipped to a new viewership low this past Labor Day. This is not good news, especially for those fans who were hoping to see the series renewed for a second season. Here’s what you need to know.

According to The Wrap, it was a rather lazy Labor Day weekend, both at home and apparently in the ratings race, too. Eva Longoria’s Grand Hotel did its worst in the ratings in the 18 to 49 adult demographic. But with that said, the ABC network still did win Monday’s key demo averages.

Grand Hotel is about the last family-owned hotel in multicultural Miami Beach. Charismatic Santiago Mendoza owns the hotel, while his glamorous second wife, Gigi, and their adult children enjoy the spoils of success.

Grand Hotel News – Will The Show Be Renewed For A Second Season?

The hotel’s loyal staff round out a contemporary, fresh take on an “upstairs/downstairs” story and is based on a similar Spanish series. The first episode premiered on June 17th.

Now as far as whether or not Grand Hotel will be returning for a second season remains to be seen. While there’s no doubt that fans would love to see the drama continue, the ABC network has not made any comments on whether or not they will renew the series just yet.

Instead, the network’s execs hinted that they want to see how the show’s ratings will look by the end of this season before making any decisions.

Grand Hotel News – Drama One Of The Sexiest Series On Prime-Time

With that said, we are hoping that the Grand Hotel will stick around for some time to come. And that’s not just because General Hospital alum Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos) is on the show.

It’s also because the drama is one of the sexiest shows on primetime television with a stellar cast, great storylines and some of the best styles we’ve seen come out of South Beach in a very long time!

We will definitely update you with more information once it comes in. As always, more detailed Spoilers and Breaking news will appear here on Celebrating The Soaps!

    1. Love the show, the cast and the story line. It’s one of my weekly favorite’s.
I am sincerely hoping it returns for a second season.

    2. I don’t usually watch night time dramas . But I started watching this show and i love it.
It’s not all Bryan Craig. I love G.H. it’s my favorite daytime show. I just love all the actors and
actresses in this show exspecially the actor who plays Danny. I hope it is renewed..

    3. Please renew. All of Florida and part of the East coast was getting 24/7 hurricane Dorian news the whole darn weekend! All my shows that I watch had Dorian news. Don’t go by Labor Day ratings please.

    4. It was a holiday I didn’t know it was on. in record every week but I didn’t that night. This is not a reason to ax the show!!!! Why are you so ax happy when it comes to a show? I really enjoy the show please leave it on!

    5. Then you aren’t watching the same show I am! There was plenty of follow through. They found out Javi was still addicted to drugs and he went to rehab, Ingred lost her baby, the Finn Hotel collapsed leaving the Grand with their clients, and the story just keeps getting better.

    6. ❤️ love this show. I yell at the tv when the hour is over. You can’t do this to me. Then I wait till. Please keep this show !!!

    7. Labor Day ratings were probably down because viewers on the southeast coast of the US we’re all watching hurricane Dorian, which interrupted the airing of that episode. Let’s see what happens the remainder of the season. I love the show.

    8. In Miami, the Labor Day episode was pre-empted by hurricane coverage. I’m sure that must have affected the ratings. Many of us WANTED to watch it, but COULDN’T!

    9. YES!!!! I really am enjoying this show. I hope it is renewed and I hope Sky is alive and stays on the show. I love Arielle Kebbel she is such a great actress!!!
