While other actors jumped ship for GAC Family, Ryan Paevey recently signed an exclusive, multi-pic deal with Hallmark. His fans were obviously excited, but they also need to know whether there will be a third installment of the Mr. Darcy movies. Now, the handsome actor has hinted that he is ready to make a third Mr. Darcy movie. Read on to find out what we know so far.

Ryan Paevey is ready for a third Mr. Darcy movie on Hallmark

Previously, Hallmark Channel viewers got to see Ryan Paevey and Cindy Busby in Unleashing Mr. Darcy and Marrying Mr. Darcy. Meanwhile, the movies are loosely based on the Jane Austen novel, Pride & Prejudice, but with a modern touch. As Paevey recently signed an exclusive deal with Hallmark, fans are longing to know if a third Mr. Darcy movie is in the works.

Paevey was recently asked if we will ever get to see a new chapter in the lives of Elizabeth Scott and Donovan Darcy. He said he would definitely be up for a third movie in the Mr. Darcy franchise as long as Hallmark is interested.

About the Mr. Darcy movies

As mentioned, Unleashing Mr. Darcy and Marrying Mr. Darcy are both loosely inspired by Jane Austin’s novel Pride & Prejudice. When the first movie was released in 2016, Paevey and Scott fully charmed viewers. Meanwhile, the synopsis involves Elizabeth Scott, a high school teacher searching for direction in her life. Elizabeth gets a chance to show her Cavalier King Charles spaniel at a dog show in New York.

While at the dog show, she meets a rude and aristocratic judge named Donovan Darcy (Paevey). While they initially clashed, the couple soon becomes aware of their growing attraction for each other.

In the second movie, Marrying Mr. Darcy in 2018, Elizabeth and Donovan are engaged. However, with her fiancé so absorbed in his work, Elizabeth takes charge of their wedding planning. However, as their wedding day draws near, she is reminded of the difference in their backgrounds and temperaments. This forces Elizabeth to ask herself if she does really want to marry Mr. Darcy. Despite this, Elizabeth and Donovan do get married and fans are hoping for a sequel, exploring their married life together.

Will a third movie happen on Hallmark?

When Paevey was asked about the possibility of a new Mr. Darcy movie, he said he is definitely up for it. Speaking to TV Insider recently, Ryan said, “I hope [there’s another Mr. Darcy movie,” adding:

We’ve been ready to go since we walked off the set of number 2. I’m in. I know Cindy is in. I can probably call Frances [Fisher, who played Donovan’s snobbish aunt Violet Darcy] and see if she would want to join us for a few days. It’s a question of if the powers-that-be want to do another one. I know fans are pumped about the potential.

Meanwhile, Cindy Busby has also expressed interest in starring in a third Mr. Darcy movie. She told International Business Times ahead of the Marrying Mr. Darcy premiere that another movie “would be incredible,” adding:

Everyone is so excited, which makes me so excited. That’s the reason I do it. For people to love it and watch it and want more of it.

While it still isn’t clear whether there will be a third Mr. Darcy movie, fans can expect to see much more of Paevey on Hallmark. In fact, he recently signed an exclusive, multi-picture deal with the channel.
