Emily Tennant & Niall Matter Meet Over Perfect Turkey In Holiday Hotline On Hallmark

Hallmark Channel has confirmed a new, original holiday movie Holiday Hotline, starring Emily Tennant and Niall Matter. An anonymous caller and widowed dad phones a cooking hotline to find out how to cook the perfect turkey.

Meanwhile, shortly afterward, the dad and the expert meet unknowingly, leading to romance. Read on to find out more about this movie, premiering soon as part of Hallmark’s annual Countdown to Christmas programming event.

Love is born on a Holiday Hotline on Hallmark Channel

According to the official synopsis, Abby Mitchell (Tennant) has always had a passion for cooking and helping others. This holiday season Abby’s career prospects fizzle and she temporarily moves to Chicago from London, England, where she takes a job with Holiday Hotline. The helpline is dedicated to helping struggling cooks make perfect Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys.

When Abby first starts at the hotline, she realizes her British accent might not relate to callers. She creates a character, Peggy, an American version of herself, to handle her many calls. One of her first callers is “John” (Matter), a widower trying to prepare a big holiday meal at home to make his young daughter happy.

Shortly after the call, Abby meets Jack (AKA John) in the real world. Neither recognizes the other, so she sees no problem with seeing him more often. However, as “John” keeps calling “Peggy”, they develop a connection over the phone.

Meanwhile, Abby is drawn into Jack’s family and starts to feel guilty as “Peggy” is also making a connection with a stranger. This makes her feel like she is dating two people. However, when she finds out that her two love connections are the same person, she feels conflicted.

As Christmas draws near, Abby’s two identities come to light. Will Jack think she has been lying to him, and, most importantly, does he have feelings for the “real” her?

Where have you seen the cast before?

Emily Tennant, who plays Abby is known for her roles in Polly Pocket: Sparkle Cove Adventure and The Baby Swindler. She leads opposite Niall Matter as Jack of Come Fly with Me and Family History Mysteries: Buried Past fame. Myla Volk plays Jack’s daughter and has starred in Crashing Through the Snow.

While no other cast members have been revealed, the following actors can be seen in the images taken on the set and are in so far uncredited roles. These include Cora Matheson (Alien House), Jacob Blair (Molly’s Game) and Michael Strickland (A Brush With Christmas).

Holiday Hotline hails from Love Bird Films Inc., with Howard Braunstein, Ellie Kanner and Joey Plager executive producing. Meanwhile, Juliette Hagopian serves as a producer while the movie is directed by Mark Jean from a story by Duane Pool and a teleplay by Julie Sherman Wolfe.

When does Holiday Hotline premiere on Hallmark Channel?

The new, original movie Holiday Hotline premieres on Sunday, November 19 at 8 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s popular Countdown to Christmas programming event.
