Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen Lola Rosales in the land of Genoa City.
That’s because the character’s portrayer, actress Sasha Calle landed the role of Supergirl in 2019, making her movie debut in 2023 as Superman’s cousin in The Flash.
A new report indicates that Calle will not reprise her Supergirl role, as another actress has been cast in part. More on this story, below.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sasha Calle Out, Milly Alcock In
According to Deadline, Australian actress Milly Alcock has been recast as Supergirl. Fans may be familiar with Milly from her Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen role in the House of Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones.
This was also confirmed by the co-CEO of DC Studios/writer and director of the soon-to-be-released Superman: Legacy, James Gunn.
Gunn posted on Instagram stating that Milly is a talented young actress and he’s very “excited” about her participation in DCU. He also notes that he knew her from her House of Dragon work but was also “blown away” by her screen tests and auditions for Supergirl.
There’s no further information about Alcock’s debut, but she will likely headline the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie.
Y&R Spoilers – Could Lola Rosales Return To GC?
Sasha was last seen in Genoa City in May 2021. After accepting an offer to be a guest chef at the Floridian restaurant, she bid her brother Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) adieu, and never returned.
Sadly, Rey passed away about a year later, so Lola doesn’t have much to “come home” to if she decides to make a comeback.
Calle first appeared on the soap in 2018. As Rey’s little sister, she weaved her way into storylines and quickly became a fan favorite.
Her love affair with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was popular among viewers, and now that Kyle is single, there is a window of opportunity for a return.

Yes I wouldn’t mind having Lola back on the scene. But not with Kyle after what he and Summer did to her. She is way too good for him. He is a real pompous ass.
