However, Nicole can’t do Allie’s job as a mother for her.

While Allie is dealing with Henry, Tripp tells Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) that he wants to help Allie. Specifically, he would like to help her take care of Henry. He knows she must have it tough as a single mom. Now, when Tripp makes this announcement, he’s not talking about being a father to Henry. He most likely is referring to financial help for Allie. However, sometimes fate has something different planned.

However, there has been fan speculation for months that after being cleared of rape, Tripp and Allie could become a couple. However, Allie and Henry are a package deal and whoever she ends up with has to be great with her son.

It is suggested that Tripp might feel an instant connection to Henry when he cradles the baby in his arms. He might even instantly calm the infant down. Allie will find this remarkable considering the tough time she’s been having with him. It makes sense that Tripp would feel a connection to Henry because they are related. However, there is reason to believe that Tripp and Henry may end up having a deeper bond than just uncle and nephew. Could he eventually become a father figure to Henry?
