In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Zamprogna discussed the storyline. As some fans may recall, this isn’t the first time Dante and Sam have been featured together in the soap. Back in 2018, the characters were married in an alternate reality episode. It seems that is where the inspiration for the current storyline came from.

The actor reminded the magazine that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) isn’t dead, she’s in a coma, and “she could wake up.” However, in most coma storylines, the partner is told there is no hope or years go by. Once they fall in love with someone else, that’s when their previous partner decides to finally wake up!

General Hospital Spoilers – Jason Morgan And Sam McCall Are End Game

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Zamprogna also talked about Sam and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Fans have been loyally shipping “JaSam” for years. They were still brought together when Billy Miller played Jason. So, it’s really hard for some viewers to see the soap couple apart right now. Zamprogna brought up Jason and Sam, suggesting that they will end up together. So, if Dante and Sam did dive into romance, it might be doomed from the start.

Despite the fact that Lulu could wake up one day and “JaSam” being “forever,” Zamprogna says that both he and Monaco are having a lot of fun with this storyline. They enjoy being able to do something different with their characters.

“It’s just fun to do something different, and I think Kelly feels the same way, from talking to her. We’re having fun — that’s all I know! We’ve never really gotten to work a whole lot together, so it’s kind of new and different for both of us and I think we’re both just enjoying that fact. I’m legitimately having a good time, having laughs. At the end of the day, if it’s just a friendship, then it’s just a friendship, and if they want to take it further, I don’t know, we’ll see what happens, I guess!”
