General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Michael and Willow Corinthos (Chad Duell, Katelyn MacMullen) will decide to move forward with their annulment in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos And Willow Corinthos Had Some Serious Discussions

General Hospital viewers will recall that Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) have been having some serious discussions as of late. Even though technically they should be getting a divorce because they consummated their marriage, they apparently decide to keep that between themselves. They care about each other and there is obviously attraction, but they are both afraid that they will hurt each other because they have divided hearts. Michael still carries a torch for Sasha Gilmore, (Sofia Mattsson) and Willow for Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

The two of them have individually had to get real with themselves and decide whether to try to stay with each other as a married couple, or to pursue an annulment because they don’t want to hurt each other. The both know now that the affair between Sasha and Chase was faked, and never actually happened. It was a ploy to push Michael and Willow towards each other and marriage for the sake of Michael’s young son, Wiley Corinthos (Erik and Theodore Olson).

There had been an ongoing custody battle between Michael and Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). But since Nelle has been presumed dead and her presumed remains are buried for several months now, she is no longer a threat to Wiley. Michael and Willow have discussed this fact at length and she is going forward with her adoption of Wiley, and the two will continue to co-parent.

GH Spoilers – Michael And Willow Corinthos Will Set Up The Co-Parenting And Custody Arrangements When They File Their Annulment

Michael and Willow both know that the annulment will not take place overnight; arrangements have to be set in stone legally for Wiley’s care. Michael is his father and Willow will be his adoptive mother, and they will have to make sure the adoption has gone through first, before trying to set up anything as far as an annulment is concerned. It will be much easier to get the adoption formalized first, because then Willow will already be Wiley’s mother in the eyes of the law. Trying to formalize and complete the adoption after the annulment would give Willow no standing in family court to be Wiley’s mother.

Both Michael and Willow love Wiley, of course, and want the best for him. They do not want the annulment and separation process that will be necessary for the annulment to go through to affect him negatively. So they will focus, along with the rest of the people that Wiley knows as extended family, on making the little one feel safe and secure throughout the whole process, and on making the transition as seamless as possible for him. But the adoption by Willow will be completed first, while she and Michael remain a married couple and living together at the Quartermaine mansion. Then, once that is completed, they will separate and work on the custody and co-parenting of Wiley.
