The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Bold Was Not Ronn Moss’s First Hit
Ronn Moss is best known to The Bold And The Beautiful fans as the original Ridge Forrester (now played by Thorsten Kaye). However, some fans may not know that Ronn is also a rock star. Ronn was one of the original members of the 1970s rock group “Player”. “Player” had one of the biggest hits of that era with “Baby Come Back.”
Ronn originated the role of Ridge in 1987 and played him through 2012. In Ronn’s era as Ridge, he was a part of a huge love triangle between Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), himself, and Caroline Spencer (Joanna Johnson). Eventually, Thorne Forrester (last played by Ingo Rademacher) got involved as well making it a quadrangle. Ridge could never decide between Brooke and Taylor and went back and forth for years. Presently, Ridge is with Brooke, however, Taylor is about to come back to town any day.
B&B Spoilers – Ronn Moss Has Fans From Both Genres
Ronn Moss has several fans that have been with him since the beginning of Bold. However, some fans have been around much longer. “Player” was formed in 1976, ten years before Moss’ debut on The Bold And The Beautiful. Although “Player’s” only number one song was “Baby Come Back” which is still popular today. The group consisted of Moss with original singer and songwriter Peter Beckett, guitarist/keyboardist J.C Crowley, and drummer John Friesen. Moss not only played bass guitar but sang some of the songs as well.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – The Fight Over The Name
The Bold And The Beautiful’s Moss and “Player’s” co-founder Beckett both wanted to play using the original name. After a legal battle over the name there ended up being two bands, Beckett’s version is “Peter Beckett’s Player,” while Moss’s version is “Ronn Moss’ Player. Recently, Ronn’s version of the band performed a live show for fans all over the world. Of course, The Bold And The Beautiful fans get a lot of credit for Ronn’s band’s popularity.
Some fans of The Bold And The Beautiful still miss Ronn’s version of Ridge as well. However, Thorsten has won over Bold fans as well. Of course, Kaye’s version is probably very popular because of his All My Children fans as well. Bold has been lucky to have such popular and talented leading men playing Ridge from the start.

I agree, Eric is a grown man! Ridge and the Logan’s sisters need to stay out of his business. Especially Brook.
Ronn Moss was perfect as Ridge and I miss him in that role. Thorsten doesn't have the class Ronn did as Ridge.
