The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) find of Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) is yet another sign of steady decline. Ashland’s precarious physical state leaves him with no cure options and, as of now, no slowing of the cancer through the treatments he’s just begun receiving.
Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) love has changed Ashland’s outlook on life. Her influence also thankfully caused him to agree to seek additional medical help. He previously held a fated opinion regarding his diagnosis.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings Involvement Intriguing
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was recently hired as the head of surgery at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. The one way fight that he had with his cousin, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), in the recent past led to Nate being unable to perform surgery.
So, it’s intriguing that Nate, rather than Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), happens upon Ashland. Might Y&R be telegraphing that Nate will be able to perform surgery again?
Like Ashland, Nate would need to realize some form of remarkable physical advancement. Miraculous would be a keen adjective to use as well. Of course, keen is a good adjective too, with the hoped for penetrating breakthroughs combining in a projected, uplifting storyline.
Y&R Spoilers – In Terms Of Realism
More realistically, Nate is likely the latest person to recognize Ashland’s increasingly challenging predicament. However, even though he can’t perform in the operating room, Nate could become involved in life extension efforts.
Depending on whether TPTB are going to allow Ashland to live, it’s possible that this development could lead to Burgi’s character also entering a period of remission.
All options must be soberly considered. Yes, that means Ashland’s mortality could result in the planned Vashland wedding never happening or Victoria becoming a widow.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victoria Newman Locke Happens?
Ashland isn’t a rebound from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She truly has fallen in love with Burgi’s alter ego.
That’s one of the positive developments to come from the Vashland pairing, as a Villy rebound wasn’t in the daytime cards. As long as Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) investigation into Ashland’s past doesn’t uncover anything terrible, Victoria will press on with her nuptial plans.
This well-paired match developed so quickly because of their commonalities and due to Ashland’s diagnosis. Victoria knows that Ashland has a short time left on the earth.
Victoria intends to marry Ashland in Tuscany, Italy, in October. But that fall wedding is far from certain, as Y&R fans know.

I don't want Ashland to go yet. I hope Nate can operate and give him more time. Ashland is a great character with lots of potential and brilliantly acted. There are lots of characters that are deadwood, get shot of them. The writers just constantly write themselves into boring repeat stories because they have to give some long dead end character another story instead of focusing on something new and entertaining. Chelsea's Southern husband for example would have made for great new and fresh stories but no back again to the long dead love triangle with Nick and Adam. Of course that didn't last that story was long dead. My point is, good new refreshing characters make the show better and invigorate the major characters like Victoria. Victoria's character was really struggling until Ashland came along. What do dead end characters like Chloe have to offer Victor or Jack's stories nothing, they have had enough chances which continually result in lame episodes. So replace the useless in fill characters with fresh new ones to give the major cast better and more entertaining stories.
I love Victoria and Ashland together. Leave them alone for a while. I see they are headed towards causing a rift between Billie and Lilly so he can get back with Victoria. Please Don’t!!
I think Ashland is pulling a fast one on whoever crosses his path and I still believe he doesn't have cancer, Victoria will know in the end all the 'I told you so's' hope Billy
keeps digging for the truth and doesn't stop and also hope there is no wedding
between these two!

I think that Ashland will end up being jacks father,seeing how he was with his mother all them years back and she couldn't remember or didn't want to let out how young he was when she was with him.

I don’t understand how Lily stays with him he’s obsessed with Victoria way too much, sure they have kids together but he’s really annoying! Bring back Billy Miller.
I fast forward whenever Hilary aka Amanda is on, this was a horrible idea to bring her back as twin. I loved Devon & Elena together. I think Amanda needs to leave Genoa City forever. I’m glad Summer & Kyle are gone, another fast forward whenever they were on.
