Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) may have to deal with Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) grandmotherly instincts, and soon.

According to teasers, his estranged ex Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) and daughter Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) are set to return to Genoa City, sometime in February, and it sounds like they’ll have news. What’s the reason behind their visit? What kind of bombshell will they drop on Romalotti? Could their return to GC center around Sheila?

Recapping the family history here, while Heather is Lucy’s stepmom, Daisy Carter (Yvonne Zima) is the young girl’s biological mom. Of course, Daisy also happens to be the bio-daughter of Sheila, so Lucy has a Carter family connection to the infamous Y&R villainess.

Everyone thought Sheila had passed away until she popped back up in Los Angeles on the Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) alive and well in 2021. She’s been obsessing over reconnecting with her bio son John (Finn) Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), and grandson Hayes Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris). Family is “everything” to Sheila, but she has had a weird way of showing her affection toward loved ones over the years.

B&B and Y&R have enjoyed crossover storylines in the past, with some interesting ones in recent history. Could Sheila return to Genoa City during February Sweeps to set Daniel straight, and launch a major crossover storyline in the process?

Could Sheila go crazy (well, crazier than she already is) if she finds out that Daniel has left Heather in charge of her granddaughter? She may feel as if it’s time to take over things. Sheila’s ideology could be that if Daniel doesn’t want to be Lucy’s primary caregiver, then the child should go to family, not a “stranger”.

Maybe the real reason Daniel is in Genoa City without his two ladies is because of the threat of Sheila. Or perhaps, Heather is returning to the little town because of cryptic threats she’s received in Portugal. Could Daniel turn to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) or his mom Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) for help to place his ex and daughter in hiding?

Regardless of Sheila and a possible crossover storyline or not, Heather’s return to Genao City will bring some sort of shock to Daniel and Y&R viewers.
