Young and the Restless Spoilers: Fans Upset Over Paul And Christine’s Storyline

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that while there’s a lot of action going on between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and the rest of the Newman family, along with a wedding in the works between Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), some key characters have been missing lately. As a matter of fact, many fans are making it quite clear that they don’t appreciate how their favorites Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) haven’t been getting much screen time lately. Here’s what you need to know.

Fans were relieved when it was announced that Doug Davidson would be returning to Genoa City after he was apparently let go from the show by former head writer and executive Mal Young. His character, Paul Williams, got right to work by cleaning things up at the Genoa City Police Department. He fired Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) on the spot and also offered a shoulder to cry on for his lifelong friend, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
And while it did look like things were on a roll for Paul, especially in his relationship with Christine, many people noticed that we haven’t seen much of the pair in recent weeks. And now The Young and the Restless fans have taken to social media to not only ask questions, but demand answers as they clearly want to see Paul and Christine back in action.

Actor Doug Davidson even re-tweeted some of the comments, with many pointing out that he might have the same sentiments as his fans when it comes to his character’s lack of camera time. One long-time The Young and the Restless fan even pointed out that some of the over 40 characters don’t get as much screen time as their younger counterparts. Could that be the case? That’s what fans want to know!

The last time Paul and Christine had a scene was during the July 31stepisode and for many viewers, that just seems way too long. Here’s hoping they will come back sooner rather than later!

Michael Baldwin to get it and he is a dirty player. The same goes for Paul he is the best

After all the years these two have been on this show they DESERVE more screen time. They have proved their loyalty and shouldn’t have their hours cut in return.

Love Paul and his acting but have never liked Christine and her acting since her Dad brought her on the show. Her acting is terrible and definitely has not improved over the years. Paul deserves to be on the show because he is a fantastic actor but Christine should have been put out to pasture years ago. Her Dad who was the man who started Y&R probably had her an iron clad contract written when they hired her where she can stay on the show until she retires or dies because he knew nobody else would want to hire her.
The only way that Michael is getting screen time is by portraying a bad guy. No one saw him when all was going well

Im sick of adam storyline get back to the stories that made this show great for so long. The stories of late are not too interesting . Get back to the way this show was and always has been written not as of late before you lose more viewers.
Please, keep them away from the camera, or better yet, let them go. Both are about as exciting as watching paint dry. He sure likes to complain a lot, he’s just plain boring to watch. He couldn’t solve a crime if he had a map. I miss his mother though, I loved her.
Tapie , I ‘ve been saying that for months and months -it’s not what ya know , it’s who ya know ! ” Christine ” has a lifetime job . …. thank you daddy ! I love it tho’ when Phyllis and the ” Bug ” ( that’s what P. has called her for years , LOL ) get together they hate each other – since P. ran C. over years ago. Paul is a keeper , love him , he just keeps getting better , Nikki and he were kids ( as I was also lol ) when they first began . Time flies , but some acting never gets much better lol !!
Stopped watching the show when the new Adam started. He is a horrible actor. Seems to young for the roll too. I would love to start watching the show again but I can’t until he is replaced. Love Paul, never was a fan of Christine

Victor is a veteran actor and shows his expertise when playing an ill man. Kill Adam off (once more) PLEASE! His storyline of his return is not believeable
they need to have Paul involved in a huge investigation that takes him and Rey to parts of the country with mystery surrounding several of Genoa Cities finest. Ashley is not the saint she wants everyone to believe she is. Jack has a secret hiding in a “closet” with regards to Nikki. Adam is finally caught in his lies of all lies when Chancellor is finally found and spills all the “beans” and he finally goes down in flames (for good) no bringing him back, ever…… Nick finally finds happiness and it will be with his true love. It will take time, but they will be back together where they belong. Both Sharon and Nick will be a part of the Adam take down. At least my story sounds better then what they have going right now. 😉

Christine needs a new wardrobe-more glam, more color. She needs a stalker, some unknown person from her past who holds a grudge against her or feels rejected by her. Of course Paul and Ray go all out to catch him or her. Writing Paul out would be like writing Niki off the show! Get creative and let us see more of them!
Since when has Christine been one of anyone’s favorites? She never could act, it’s obvious her family connections is the only reason she was ever on the show. She’s so wooden it’s pathetic.
