General Hospital (GH) spoilers note while fans were waiting for Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) passing to occur, as everyone knew she was slated to be killed off soon, the way it happened shocked the land of Port Charles.
She died of a sudden heart attack after her transplant surgery. This was completely out of the blue since she passed through the initial process of being approved to be a Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins) donor, and she came out of surgery looking and feeling good. This has left her family and the doctors at the hospital baffled.
General Hospital Spoilers – The Autopsy Could Reveal Something Suspicious
GH spoilers remind fans that after Sam’s death, her mom (rightfully so) was looking for answers. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) questioned Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) on why such a thing could’ve happened.
Sam was healthy, and even post-surgery tests showed everything was fine. An autopsy has already been set, and there’s a good chance that something suspicious will be revealed.
GH Spoilers – Jason Morgan & Sonny Corinthos’s Payback Plan
There’s been a buzz on social media that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) placed digitalis in Sam’s IV bag, which could have poisoned Sam, causing a heart attack and death. The reason behind this is unknown, but from the looks of things, it does sound as if the soap is going this route.
Whether Cyrus is behind Sam’s death, or someone else, when the truth comes out, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will likely produce some vigilante justice of their own. Just ask John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington) what happens when you cross the mob boss and his henchman.
Both Sonny and Jason loved Sam. Sam is not only the mother of one of Jason’s sons, but one of the greatest loves of his life.
While Sam and Sonny do have a romantic past, his affection for Sam now stems from her being a part of his family and her relationship with his son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Either way, the police may not be the first people to get to Cyrus, or whomever is behind Sam’s demise, if Sonny and Jason have their way.

As much as I dislike him, this is a whacked out story.
Couldn’t agree more. I really hope they have someone else to take the blame. Kober is a fantastic actor and I find it hard to believe he also tried to kill Lulu , don’t forget the incident a couple of weeks ago.
Bring Sam back after an autopsy? I think that would be a bit hard to do. However isn’t Sam’s father Ava’s brother? Let Ava launch into Cyrus and Alexis dip into her little used side of the family. Come on writers make Sam’s death mean something for the fans.
Yes, in real life bringing Sam back after an autopsy would be quite a chore. But this is GH fantasy land and anything can and does occur regardless of how questionable. Just a little what if – the person we saw after Sam’s demise was not Sam. Remember she is related to the Cassidines who have a way of retieving bodies, putting on masks that are so real people don’t even recognize their loved ones. Could the Cassidines have had a hand in Sam’s proposed demise?? It would be a heck of a story line, but don’t believe in this case it will develop.

What ever happened to Cyrus and his involvement in Dr Austin Holts murder? That whole story line disappeared.
Sam and Sonny had a daughter together! The baby died at birth. When watching Jason’s memories at her bedside he flashed back to the two of them holding each other her in hospital bed. That was when her and Sonnys baby died.
